Freddie Frith's 1948 World Championship winning Velocette KTT MkVIII
This immensely important racing motorcycle will be one of the star lots at Bonhams' Spring Stafford Sale in April. Piloted by Frederick Lee 'Freddie' Frith the pair were the first ever winners of the 350cc World Championship. Presented in fabulous condition, this Velocette KTT MkVIII Works Special also won the 1949 Isle of Man Junior TTs at an incredible sped of 83.15mph. Freddie won all but the last of the six world championship races in 1949, securing him the inaugural 350cc title.
